ABOUT US
Baltic Net Ltd was established in 1995. The company has manufactured and repaired fishing equipment for the fishing fleet. Our customers range from small vessels to ships for industrial catches. We have highly qualified specialists whose skills allow us to achieve excellent results.
Baltic Net is situated in the middle of the Polish coast, in the Darlowo harbour spread on the area of 3 600 m2. This central location allow us to efficiently serve fishing Boats based in all harbours of the Polish coast. Being by the main routes connecting Szczecin with Gdansk – the two biggest marine centers in Poland – enables for the efficient logistics in import and export of our products and commodities.
WE HAVE KNOWLEDGE
By using modern materials and cooperations with fishermen, our skilled engineers are constantly improving fishing equpiments making it more fishable and less fuel consuming.
We have co-operated closely with many scientific centres such as the Sea Fisheries Institute and the West Pomeranian University of Technology and its unique model testing station on Lake Ińsko. This is where trawls and their behaviours are being tested in water on a small scale which allows us to obtain representative results closer to real conditions. The results can be later extrapolated during a fishing gear production.
During the design phase, in addition to traditional methods, we use simulation programs like CADTRAWL, CATS and DynamiT to verify assumptions and results to further improve fishingh gear.
We exchange experience in fishing gears manufacture and design with other netlofts in order to reach the highest quality while still respecting local fishery habits and practices.
